Cruiser provides early-season protection against wireworm, sunflower beetle, flea beetle and stored grain pests in sunflowers. Studies show that sunflower seed treated with Cruiser can help improve plant stand and vigor, and may ultimately increase yield.
Commercially applied by seed companies at a low use rate, Cruiser eliminates the labor and handling involved in applying a separate insecticide at planting. Insect Resistance Management
Before opening a bag of seed, be sure to read and understand the stewardship requirements including applicable refuge requirements for insect resistance management, for the biotechnolgoy trails expressed in the seed as set forth in the Monsanto Technology Agreement that you sign. By opening and using a bag of seed, you are reaffirming your obligation to comply with those stewardship requirements.
Bt corn has proven to be an important technology to help corn growers control damaging insect pests and produce higher yields and better quality grain.
Insect Resistance Management (IRM)
To preserve the many benefits of Bt corn technology, the implementation of an IRM plan is essential. Experts agree, and government regulations require, that an effective Bt corn IRM plan includes the planting of a non-Bt refuge (a block of non-Bt corn) planted close to your Bt corn acres.
All Bt corn products require implementation of an IRM program according to the refuge size, distance guidelines and insecticide usage described in this fact sheet.
Growers who fail to follow IRM requirements risk losing access to Bt corn technology.
What are the Requirements of the Corn Borer IRM?
Plant at least 20% of your corn acres to refuge hybrids
In cotton producing regions, refuge must be 50%
Must be planted within 1/2 mile of the refuge hybrids

Agrisure CB/LL hybrids feature the Bt11 event, which has been protecting cornfields since it was introduced in 1997. The Bt11 event utilizes the naturally occurring soil bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) and produces a protein which is toxic to Lepidopteran insects. When a corn borer eats any part of the corn's leaves, silks, stalks or ears, the Bt protein breaks down in the intestine, damages the cell membrane and causes death before economic crop damage can occur.
In addition, all hybrids with the Agrisure CB/LL trait are tolerant to glufosinate (Ignite® herbicide). Tolerance to Ignite herbicide is the selectable marker used by Syngenta for identifying genetics with the Bt11 event. The Ignite benefit gives growers another option for weed control, including control of glyphosate-tolerant volunteers in corn-on-corn rotations.
The Agrisure® 3000GT triple stack provides the ultimate in yield protection and the flexibility to choose management practices that meet individual needs.
