NuSun® sunflower hybrids produce a type of sunflower oil with distinct advantages to U.S. food markets, especially the institutional frying, restaurant and fast food industries.

NuSun® is a mid-range oleic (monounsturated) sunflower oil and is 20 percent lower in saturated fats than already-low traditional sunflower oil.

IMI-500 NuSun sunflower hybrids have been developed by Seeds 2000 using naturally occurring herbicide reisistance and traditional breeding methods. The hybrids have been approved as part of the CLEARFIELD* Production System.
